I started training with David in the last few months. I have joint hyper mobility leading to significant muscle tightness and I have struggled over the years with multiple personal trainers who just kept on making me “lift more and more weight,” at the expense of getting injured. I can highly recommend Dave as a personal trainer who has been extremely reliable, knowledgeable, and conscientious from the first minute to the last minute of every session. He provides an individualised, tailored, broad-based approach to physical health that is absolutely first rate. He clearly has a great deal of experience in management of physical injuries, providing an injury specific, well-guided exercise programme utilising an expert knowledge of exercise physiology and anatomy. I have been hugely impressed by his thoughtful holistic approach that has focussed on improving mobility, joint function and health rather than strength, heavy lifting and just relying on machines. There is a keen awareness of safety with careful monitoring and adjustments of exercise and weights to maximise progress while avoiding injury by not doing too much or by not having the right technique. I am hugely impressed by the progress I have made under Dave’s guidance which is already paying dividends on the tennis court and at my desk where I no longer finish the working day with neck and lower back ache.
